A very beautiful statue of Our Lady of Lourdes welcomes you at the chapels of light. She is there to remind us of her revelation to Bernadette Soubirous (25th March 1858, the 16th apparition, on the feast of the Annunciation): “I am the Immaculate Conception.”
The Immaculate to whom each one of us can entrust our intentions.
The one who will always send us a sign to let us know that she has heard our prayer.
The one who always welcomes the least of our requests and places them in the heart of Jesus.
Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes, light in the hollow of the rock. You came to affirm your Immaculate Conception, to teach us to cleanse ourselves, to do penance and to pray for sinners. Give us hope and joy.
You know our hearts full of pain and suffering. You see our incessant search for happiness, and our distractions. Mother, completely pure and full of goodness, help us by your love, your prayers and your example, to know how to ask for forgiveness, to have a heart free from sin. Teach us to open ourselves to the love of the Father who never leaves his children alone, especially when we are in pain and despair.
Lead us on the path of trust in Jesus, your Son, our gentle and merciful Saviour, and draw us nearer to Him, so that He may guide us to eternal life. Amen.
