Opening Mass presided by Cardinal Philippe Ouédraogo
Again this year from 22nd to 24th January 2020, the Dicastery for the Communication of the Holy See, the Federation of Catholic Media and Signis will come together to offer an exceptional line-up; Days with even more of an international dimension, thanks to speakers and participants from France and around the world offering the opportunity for unique meetings and exchanges.
On Wednesday 22nd January, participants who so wish can take part in guided tours departing from the Information Centre: The Marian sanctuary and the places in the life of Saint Bernadette around the city or The Marian sanctuary and the Cité Saint-Pierre – the thoughts of Mgr. Rodhain.

Father Jacques Hamel Prize for Journalism in the Service of Peace
The Federation of Catholic Media has created the Father Jacques Hamel Prize, following the assassination by two Islamists of this martyred priest, in his church, in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, while he was celebrating the Eucharist on 26th July 2016. This prize rewards journalistic work in the service of peace and interreligious dialogue.
Cardinal Philippe Ouédraogo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Ouagadougou and President of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar, in the presence of Mrs. Roseline Hamel, the sister of Father Hamel, will present the “Father Jacques Hamel” Prize on Thursday 23rd January at 7:45 p.m., at the hemicycle.
